• We provide information and advice about the safest method of travel for your child.
• Specialist car seats and harnesses are available for you to try and can be purchased where appropriate.
• Does your child require postural support or is he/she an escapologist? We can help you work through the safest options.
• You will be given the correct advice for fitting car seats.
• We can provide a full passenger assessment and a written report for you if required. These are most useful when your child has outgrown car seats, has become too heavy to lift, or you are considering alternative vehicle options.
• We have a range of assistive equipment such as wheelchair hoists and a demonstration wheelchair accessible vehicle which can help to identify your requirements.

Wheelchairs and buggies

• The Paediatric Department has a range of manual and powered wheelchairs and buggies.
• Drop in and have a look or make an appointment with one of our Assessment Team.
• We can carry out a full assessment of your individual needs.
• We provide a full after sales service for the item that you have purchased in the Service / Repair workshop.

Daily living equipment

• Our showroom has a changing variety of equipment your child may need for feeding, toileting, bathing and leisure.
• We can give advice and information about equipment that may assist you and your child and we can help source items for you to try.
• We work with many companies who manufacture or supply equipment for children with special needs.

Equipment may be purchased where appropriate, however, clients are under no obligation following an assessment to purchase equipment. Our primary aim is to identify equipment suited to the child's needs and to give information and advice.
